The Registry Engineer is a member of the Technology Operations & Development Group (Level 2 Support) which is charged with maintaining the performance and availability of the Production Services of the aeDA and where applicable ensuring that these Production Services meet (or exceed) their prescribed SLAs.

• Certification from Redhat Novell, or Sun,

• Experience administering web based applications such as apache , tomcat and send mail/ postfix

Incumbent shall operate the Bi-Annual Benchmarking of operators’ wireless networks and services performances; supervise and coordinate the applications request of the mobile telecommunication site sharing and land acquisitions coming form operators; Process the operators’ requests to launch different technologies and services and advise to different ways to optimize and speed us this process.

In addition to this, the incumbent shall handle all enquiries from the general public and formally accredit .aeDA Registrars.

Incumbent shall also actively participate and follow up on various local and international meetings related to the ICT section such as domain names, Internet Governance meetings, etc and ensure that the TRA views are reflected. This involves submitting contributions documents and follows up on various ICT matters.

The incumbent shall be responsible for planning and developing major activities in the Type Approval section and update the section with new standards of telecommunication apparatus.

The incumbent shall carry out research, study and plan for the feasibility of implementing National Telecommunication Laboratory in the UAE.
