aeCERT Participates in the Infrastructure Strategies Executive Forum 2010

In line with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) strategy, aiming to take part in the ICT related events locally and globally, the Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), a TRA initiative, participates in the “Infrastructure Strategies Executive Forum 2010”.

The one-day event was hold on the sixth of October, in Marjaan ballroom in Madinat Jumeirah, where a wide range of keynotes were presented, focusing on IT security and the deployment of large-scale security projects ranging from identity management to overall information and infrastructure risk management.

In this aspect, H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA Director General said: “Data Security is a vital issue that concerns enterprises. Determining the appropriate strategy that suits the security needs of each company is a critical decision.”

“The National Computer Emergency Team “aeCERT” is keen to create a safe IT environment for both public and private sector; therefore the team had signed many MoUs with many partners to offer them our expertise in the area of computer and infrastructure security.” Added Mohamed Al Ghanim.

In its participation in the “Infrastructure Strategies Executive Forum”, aeCERT underlined the challenges facing companies and organizations in terms of infrastructure threats, and outlined polices that should be followed by enterprises to protect their critical infrastructure. Many other details regarding the types of threats and how they can badly affect the circulation of business were highlighted during (aeCERT) keynote.
Distinguished speakers working in different fields in the IT sector took part in the forum, passing their knowledge and experience to the participants and trying to cover various aspects that worry companies and endanger their businesses.

The National Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) is endeavoring to facilitate the detection, prevention and response of cyber security incidents on the Internet. The team has participated in many events and signed an abundant number of partnerships with government and private entities in order to cooperate with them in terms of data security.
