Decree by Law No. 3 of
2003, such as allocating
and assigning spectrum
for all Radio services,
coordinating the
spectrum, applying
enforcement on spectrum,
representing the country
in all international and
regional forums related
to telecommunication

authorizations, the TRA has
established an online portal
for new applications,
renewals, modifications and
cancellation. The TRA can
be requested by such
organizations for the

mechanism for different

| International Affairs |
| |
The TRA is actively involved in international meetings and activities which focus on convergence through cooperation and information exchange among regulators; Resource allocation and management; Standards. These include regional preparatory meetings for global conferences and other activities which focus on UAE’s and the region’s requirements.
Another aspect of the TRA's international activities is organizing and hosting events and similar working visits by its counterparts in other countries. In return, the TRA participates in bilateral meetings and negotiations, and initiates working visits to enhance relations with other regulators.
Further, the TRA participates in activities centred around the international platforms such as ITU, Regional/ Special groupings, Border Co-ordination, Inter-Governmental Organizations, and Bilateral co-operation.
