UAE National Agenda
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of social, economic and environmental goals that the international community has committed to achieve by 2030. The SDG framework consists of 17 goals, which are:
Just as the SDGs represent a global agenda for social, economic and environmental development, the UAE National Agenda aims to achieve same goals.
Both frameworks are aligned in their multi-dimensional perspectives of development and in prioritising social, economic and environmental factors.
As the main coordinator of the National Online Services Index “Sustainable Environment and Infrastructure”, TRA’s work relates to the following SDGs
SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT AND
The UAE Government aims to ensure sustainable development while preserving the environment, and to achieve a perfect balance between economic and social development.
To do that, the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda focuses on improving the quality of air, preserving water resources, increasing the contribution of clean energy and implementing green growth plans.
Additionally, the National Agenda highlights the importance of infrastructure and aims to make the UAE among the best in the world in quality of airports, ports, road infrastructure, and electricity, in as well as the telecommunications infrastructure, which will allow the UAE to be first in online services.
