ICT Fund

The first of its kind in the Arab world, the ICT Fund was launched in 2007 by Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to achieve rapid, progressive and concrete developments within the ICT sector in the UAE. The Fund launched its operations to jump start innovation within the ICT sector in the UAE mainly in the fields of intellectual capital, technological leadership, smart research, innovative ideas, and incubating start-ups.

World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)

It is a prestigious platform that brings under its roof industry experts and key players, and grant them with the opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas regarding ICT sector.

International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

ITU is the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies – ICTs. It allocates global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develops the technical standards that ensure networks and technologies seamlessly interconnect, and strives to improve access to ICTs to underserved communities worldwide.

The .aeDA established a new industry framework, consisting of a governance and administrative structure to increase the clarity of the roles within the industry, perpetuate growth of the namespace and promote competition by accrediting multiple .ae Registrars.

NRI assess the country’s readiness to utilize ICT advancement. It gets published annually by the wold Economic Forum.

Is the kind of messages or electronic communication that your receive without your consent, and it targets promoting a certain product or a service. It can be sent by email, SMS, or short calls.

Center of Digital Innovation (CoDI)

CoDI, the Centre of Digital Innovation, is a UAE mGovernment initiative providing services for testing and verifying security and functionality of mobile applications for Government departments and educational organisations within the UAE and other GCC countries. CoDI is an environment where Government departments, educational organisations and other industry groups can come together to experience new and innovative technologies.
